Top-10 Finish in Kansas

Nationwide Practice

Brad Sweet posted his third top-10 finish of the season with an eighth-place run at Kansas. On two separate occasions in the race, Sweet found himself outside the top 15; once after being trapped a lap down via green-flag pit stops and another after changing right-side tires when others chose fuel only. Sweet charged from 17th on a lap 151 restart to move into the top 10 when the 11th and final caution flew with 13 laps to go. He moved his way even higher in the field thanks to a final five-lap dash to the checkered flag ending the day eighth.

Brad Sweet, driver No. 5 Great Clips team
“Our Great Clips Chevy was really strong today. I felt like we were our best all day right there at the end but just ran out of laps to move up any higher. This is something we can build on with a few more of these big tracks on the schedule at the end of the year.”
